The proposed work aims to present a solution to some of the problems of customary international law. To this end, the general characteristics of English common law (case law), the types of custom and the structure of local (special custom) are examined. On this basis, the present author offers a unique approach that will help to a certain extent to reduce the peculiar uncertainty in the legal force of international custom. Without a doubt, this main and primary source of public international law is still alive and of great importance.
