Currently, forward contracts are one of the most common financial instrument transactions. The main centers of trading with forward contracts are London, Frankfurt, Zurich, Amsterdam and Brussels in Europe; New York, Chicago and Montreal in America; Tokyo, Sydney, Bangkok and Singapore in the Far East.
At the present moment, Bulgarian legislation lacks an effective legal definition of the concept of "forward" and "forward transaction" in the financial-legal aspect of this concept.
